"God Will Not Forsake You"

Good Morning!

He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." — Hebrews 13:5

Never will I leave you. Never will I forsake you. God’s promises provide believers both comfort and courage in the face of adversity, uncertainty, and challenging times.

The promises of God’s presence and provision are consistent throughout Scripture. "Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go..." [Genesis 28:15]. "The LORD is the One who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you..." [Deuteronomy 31:8]. And how can we not include the beautiful promise from Jesus at the close of the gospel of Matthew? "I am with you always, even to the end of the age" [Matthew 28:20].

Given the truth of God’s faithful promises, it is entirely appropriate that the next verse in Hebrews reads, "So we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’" [Hebrews 13:6].

Faith sees what can’t be seen - God’s presence, God’s power, and God’s provision. “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man” [Psalm 118:8]. Be assured - God will never abandon you. Trust in Him. Rest in Him. He is the never-forsaking God!
