"Let's Be Honest" - Part 2
"Behold You desire truth in the inward parts" ~Psalm 51:6

Why is it that when we are not okay, we will lie and say that we are?
Why do we allow pride to rob us of being honest?
If we lie to ourselves, we can find ourselves getting into all kinds of trouble. By lying to ourselves, we also run the risk of hurting others, and shirking the responsibility for our actions.
When were not honest, we can find ourselves saying things like......
"I really don't have a problem with my attitude; I am just misunderstood."
"I really don't have a problem with pride, lust, anger, etc.; This is just who I am."
"I know the bible says this is a sin, but it's different for me because....."
The real problem is that the more we tell ourselves these lies, the more we will believe them. It is as the old saying goes, "The worst kind of deception is self-deception".
God wants us to be real with Him, and we can never be truly honest with God, and others, until we are truly honest with ourselves first!
Be Encouraged.
