"On Mission"

GOOD MORNING!
“Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?”
Romans 10:13-14
Every born-again child of God is a missionary. We have been called by God to go into all the world and preach the gospel (Mark 16:15). Our mission field is right where we live and work.
The apostle Paul opens his letter to the church in Ephesus by saying: “Paul, an apostle [a missionary] of Jesus Christ by the will of God…” Paul was a missionary writing to the church he planted in present day western Turkey, we see in Ephesians what prayers for our brothers and sisters in Christ should contain: "that the Father of glory may give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him; that the eyes of their understanding may be enlightened to the hope of His calling, the glory of His inheritance, and the exceeding greatness of His power; that according to the riches of His glory they would be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith; that they would be able to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge and be filled with all the fullness of God" (Ephesians 1:17–19; 3:16–17, 19, 21). This is a great prayer to pray for your lost neighbors, co-workers, classmates, and family members. Insert their names "that the Father of glory may give [insert name] the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him..." Pray and ask God to grant you boldness to preach [proclaim] the Gospel - the Good News of Jesus Christ - it is the power of God unto salvation!
May God be glorified today in your life as you live your life on mission.
Much love and care, Pastor Pat
