"Prayer Changes Things"
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayer requests. With this in mind, be alert, and always keep praying for all of the Lord's people"
Ephesians 6:18

There are times when someone will ask us to pray for them, and our initial response is of course we will, but do we actually follow through and go before the Lord on their behalf?
All of us have been strengthened through the prayers of others, so why is it at times we fail to reciprocate that? Is it because we're too busy with our own stuff, that we forget about the needs of others?
Jesus goes before our Heavenly Father daily and intercedes for us, so how can we not do the same for others?
Do we pick and choose who we will pray for?
In Matthew 5:44, Jesus said that we are to also pray for our enemies, and those who despitefully use us. Are we praying for God's wrath to fall on those who oppose us, or are we praying for God's mercy and goodness that leads to repentance?
As the people of God, we have a responsibility to pray for all people at all times, and it can never be contingent upon whether or not we like or love them. Praying for others changes our heart towards those who may have wronged us, and it gives us the heart of Christ with the hope of producing unity.
Be Encouraged.

The covering over us is important. We should always ask for God's covering for us and our families in our comings and goings!
Lord, thank you for your covering everyday. We cry out to you today, for the peace that we can only find in You!
