"The Church"

GOOD MORNING!

“While we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.” Galatians 6:10

In Acts 10:38, Peter said that Jesus went around doing good. Here in Galatians, Paul is encouraging the church to do good. Just as Jesus reached out to Jews and Gentiles so we must seek to do good to everyone. Let us seize every opportunity to do good to everyone, especially to the household of faith [The Church]. The church is to be far more than a meeting we attend, but a family we participate in and care for.

When we "do good" - loving and caring for one another - we are imitating our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" [Matthew 5:16]. Our "good works" [doing good] gives powerful witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
