"The Dangers Of Drifting"

"Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you."

Colossians 4:14

"For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed....only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful for ministry."

2nd Timothy 4:10-11

There was a time when Demas was faithful in ministry with Apostle Paul, but eventually, the love of the world and the things in the world lead him away, and we don't hear about Demas ever again which is such a sad testimony.

The example of Demas is a warning to us that we must not allow the people, places, and things of this world to pull us away from serving the Lord Jesus Christ, because if we remove our hand from the plow {for any reason}, we're not fit for the kingdom of God {Luke 9:62}.

This is a serious hour, and in order for us to endure until the end, we must maintain being steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord {1st Corinthians 15:58}.

We must stay anchored in Jesus, or we will drift away like Demas!!!
