"The Good Steward"

GOOD MORNING!
Today’s devotional thought is from I Peter 4:10, "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
A steward is a person who manages another’s property; one who administers anything as an agent of another. We are steward’s of God’s grace, God’s gifts, God’s resources. His resources are what we use to do His work while we wait for Christ’s return. He has blessed us with His resources, all of heaven’s resources to pray for one another, love one another, open our hearts and homes to one another, and serve one another.
In Matthew 25:14-21 Jesus shares the parable of the talents. “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money" [Vv. 14-18].
Are we like the one who hides his talent and doesn’t invest it? The spiritual gift [grace] we have received is wasted if it only comes to us, but doesn’t move through us. Purpose in your heart today to invest the gift [grace] God has entrusted you with, invest it by serving one another.
Much love and care,
