"True Freedom" - Part 2
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom"
2nd Corinthians 3:17
Yesterday we talked about Jesus setting us free, and today we will focus on how Holy Spirit empowers us to remain in freedom.
Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. His Spirit illuminated us, and gave us power over our former life of sin and depravity.
Holy Spirit is also responsible for our regeneration and sanctification. He has sealed us as a sign of our adoption, and we are no longer under the captivity of Satan.
Holy Spirit is our comforter who leads and guides us into all truth {John 16:13}, and we also have received freedom from the judgment of hell, wrath, and damnation.
Our freedom has given us access to come before the throne of God with boldness {Hebrews 4:16}. We have been given a precious gift from Holy Spirit, so let us not take His presence for granted!
