"What are we SEEKING?"

"Seek good and not evil, that you may live, so the Lord God of hosts will be with you, as you have spoken." ~Amos 5:14

We are clearly commanded to "SEEK" God. "SEEK" in this case, does not mean to search for something that is lost. We have already been invited into a relationship with God, so we do not have to search for Him as if He is LOST somewhere.

To "SEEK" means to turn to Him in trust and confidence. We are to "SEEK" God for who He is, and not for what He can do for us.

When we "SEEK" to do good, and not evil, we receive the blessings of life.

When He says "live", He means to "live abundantly and everlastingly".

"Abundant Life" in Christ is not about material goods, but this is directly tied to "SEEKING" Him. We "SEEK" Him to be like Him, and build a closer relationship with Him.

"You have said SEEK my Face, my heart says to You, Your Face, Lord do I SEEK." ~Psalm 27:8

May we all "SEEK" the Lord with our whole heart and mind!
